Everything You Need to Know From The Avengers: Endgame Trailer

All the MCU fans have been desperately waiting for the second look at and any clues related to Avengers: Endgame.

All the MCU fans have been desperately waiting for the second look at and any clues related to Avengers: Endgame. And at long last, it is here (finally!). Marvel just dropped the official trailer for Avengers: Endgame and it is much, much cooler than we could ever expect it to be! And it couldn’t be more mysterious. Marvel literally keeps it all under the wraps. Absolutely nothing important about the film is revealed in the trailer, except for a few things here and there, maybe. Although, we should have expected that, what with even the cast not being able to read the whole script.

What happens in the Avengers: Endgame trailer?

Hawkeye with his daughter?

The trailer starts with bits and pieces from the origin stories of Iron Man and Captain America. It momentarily shifts to Tony stranded in space, then giving us a glimpse of the world after the snap. We then get a short peek of Hawkeye with his (presumably) daughter, and then Black Widow and Hawkeye reuniting. After that, nearly everything is a blur. We see Steve at Peggy’s funeral, Asgard, Thor with Odin, then Thor on earth during the battle of Wakanda during the decimation. These are all flashbacks. Then we can see Cap and Natasha in the middle of a conversation, possibly about the snap itself.

Now, what comes next is interesting. Ant-man can be seen looking at some mysterious posters on a tree, Hawkeye and Black Widow (who sports red hair in that particular shot) sharing what looks like an emotional moment. Next is a shot of a strange, peculiar aircraft- or is it a spaceship? What happens after, again, is mysteriously blurry. Hawkeye seems to be running from something in what looks like a tunnel. Rocket Raccoon is getting ready to fight while on War Machine’s shoulder. Steve, Barton, Ant-man, Thor, Nebula, & Natasha are seen after that, but that part doesn’t really give out much.

What we see after that is sure to leave us wanting more from the trailer. For a second, we get to see Tony in the same spaceship he and Nebula were stranded in, but that’s just a fragment. Immediately after that, we see a bunch of Avengers sporting the brand new white, black and red suits. Yes, the ones we saw while scrolling through Instagram for potential Avengers: Endgame spoilers. The ones that are rumored to be the Quantum Realm suits, or the time traveling suits in Avengers: Endgame. Steve, Scott Lang, Clint, Nebula, Rhodey, Natasha and Tony are seen sporting these suits in the trailer. They are walking in the new Avengers HQ, with Steve leading them, of course. And that’s when we can hear the classic Avengers theme start to play in the background.

After that, we are presented with the absolutely magnificent Avengers logo, while the Avengers theme continues to play in the background. And that alone is enough to give you the chills, no kidding. After it all thoroughly blesses our eyes and ears, the scene shifts to a living room in said Avengers HQ. And guess who we see there? Captain Marvel and Thor come face to face in that scene (perhaps for the first time?). He summons Stormbreaker while looking her in the eyes, and, of course, our new cap holds the stare. He then looks at Natasha, and says, “I like this one”, while smiling. This is part of a larger scene that was shown at a recent Disney shareholders’ meeting, the details of which can be found here.

What’s Hidden In The Trailer?

It is possible that we see the origins stories at the start of the trailer to signify their importance as phase three comes to a close. Or it is also possible that we’ll see the last of those characters in this movie. It seems logical because most of the original avengers’ contracts end after this movie. So it could possibly be a tribute to them- not to say that they necessarily die, they could even retire. It is likely, since it has already happened in the comic books. Or they could just be flashbacks. Well, if they are actually flashbacks, Marvel has included an awful lot of them in the trailer.

Interestingly enough, Natasha’s hair keeps changing throughout the trailer, be it the hair colour, or length, or the hairstyle. It kind of makes it hard to place the happenings in a potentially correct sequence. We also do not see much of Bruce Banner in the trailer.

It is safe to say that Tony and Nebula make it back to earth in one piece. What or who saves them from the hands of death, though, is still unclear. And it is also quite obvious that Ant-man made it back from the Quantum Realm. However, how he contacts the Avengers, or helps them is still pretty speculative.

We do not see any traces of the characters that have been dusted other than the brief flashback. Marvel has quite successfully kept it foggy. The characters aren’t even properly mentioned, and what happened to them continues to be an enigma. Although, the most astonishing part of the trailer was that we do not see any traces of Thanos in it. Considering he was the supervillain in the last movie, his absence in this trailer comes as a surprise to all.

As spellbinding and mystifying as the trailer is, it fails to fill in all the huge gaps that Avengers: Infinity War has left. It does nothing but make us all the more anxious about what the happenings of Avengers: Endgame could be, and leave us all yearning for more. But after watching the brand new trailer, one thing is crystal clear- Marvel Studios & Kevin Fiege do know how to keep its fans on edge. And as much as it pains us, we will have to wait for a little over a month to get our answers. But the wait definitely seems like it’s worth it.
