The first trailer of the horror film, Annabelle Comes Home is here and it is sending chills down the spines of everyone. This is the third film in line with ‘The Conjuring’ film series spin-off centering on the demonic doll.

The doll made its first appearance in The Conjuring (2013), and since then, it has remained dominant to the film series and is also another horrifying face of its spin-off Annabelle which was released in 2014 and was superseded by Annabelle: Creation in 2017. And now, the doll will return in Annabelle Comes Home.

Annabelle The Doll

The trailer is hitting the viewers with the right prescription of horror, without overusing any unsought horrifying scenes. “Warning! Positively do not open!” is displayed on Annabelle’s glass cage in the beginning. Most of the trailer focuses on the doll and other evil spirits waking up and going after the Warrens’ ten-year-old daughter, Judy, and her friends.

The 2-minute-24-seconds trailer opens with Ed and Lorraine Warren who bring Annabelle to their house and store it inside a glass casing. Everything is going well, until a girl, baffled by the doll’s prescient looks, lets loose the doll, and then all hell breaks loose. The doll awakens and sets its eyes on Judy (Warren’s daughter).

“Annabelle basically activates all the other haunted artifacts in that room. So, it’s basically A Night at the Museum, with Annabelle,” said The Conjuring universe creator and horror veteran James Wan. The film is directed by Gary Dauberman, who is making his directorial debut with it. He has also taken part in the Conjuring Universe spin-off horror films Annabelle: Creation and The Nun as a screenwriter.

Annabelle Comes Home will release on June 28.
