Netflix has released the official trailer for Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler-starrer Murder Mystery, and the trailer looks pretty promising. Aniston and Sandler play a married couple, and Netflix makes sure their 15 years long chemistry is obvious in the trailer. The two are seen making snarky comments and taking digs at each other throughout the trailer.

The story revolves around Adam Sandler, a New York City cop and his wife. He takes his wife on a long overdue Europe trip where they have a chance encounter with a seemingly fine gentleman on the flight to Europe. That encounter earns them an invitation to a family get-together on the yacht of billionaire Malcolm Quince. Unbeknownst to them, their lives are about to take sharp turns. Things head south after they spend some time on the yacht. Somebody murders Quince.
But what’s even weirder is the fact that the murderer is apparently trying to frame our lead couple. They then end up becoming the prime suspects of the murder case. The events that follow are the very essence of the film. Moreover, what’s interesting is the fact that Aniston’s character loves reading murder mysteries in the movie.
Adam Sandler released the trailer for Murder Mystery on The Ellen Show. The last time we saw Aniston and Sandler together in a movie was in Just Go With It, which was a romantic comedy. Since their last attempt on screen together impressed the audiences quite a bit, doing the same this time around doesn’t seem like a hard nut to crack.
Writer/filmmaker Kyle Newacheck has directed this seemingly outstanding and peculiar comedy. The screenplay is written by James Vanderbilt, who also wrote for movies like The Amazing Spider-Man and Truth. Murder Mystery also features Luke Evans, Gemma Arterton, John Kani, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Terrence Stamp among others alongside Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler.
You can stream Murder Mystery on Netflix from the 14th of June this year.
