Why Spider-Man: Far From Home 's Post-credits Scenes are Crucial to Phase 4

With Marvel all set to re-release Avengers: Endgame on June 28, and Spider-Man: Far From Home releasing on July 5, it is probably the best time for all Marvel fans.

With Marvel all set to re-release Avengers: Endgame on June 28, and Spider-Man: Far From Home releasing on July 5, it is probably the best time for all Marvel fans. The re-release of Avengers: Endgame will give us some extra footage and some surprises, too, apparently. With the re-release, Endgame is also expected to cross Avatar’s box office records, with Endgame being just $40 million behind Avatar.

Spider-Man Far From home

Tony Stark’s death really did break everybody’s hearts.

But there’s something even more exciting than the extra footage in Avengers: Endgame. And that is the post-credits scene(s) of Spider-Man: Far From Home. The film that concludes Marvel’s phase 3 is reportedly going to have post-credits scenes, unlike its predecessor. And yes, Spider-Man: Far From Home will reportedly have not one, but two post-credits scenes. I feel like we deserve that after the way Avengers: Endgame brutally broke our hearts.

The Avengers have been shaping the Marvel universe for 12 years, now. But their journey (quite possibly) met a bittersweet ending in Avengers: Endgame. And that marks the start of a new era in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not only will Spider-Man: Far From Home culminate phase 3, but it will also pave way for a new saga in the MCU. There are many reasons for that. But, apparently, the post-credits scenes top that list of reasons.

What’s in Far From Home’s Post-credits scenes?

Many industry sources have confirmed that there are going to be two post-credit scenes, and they are going to build the foundation for what is to come next in the MCU. What the scenes contain has, obviously, not been revealed. And let’s hope that it stays that way until Far From Home comes out. but we can always guess.

Spider-Man Far From home

Mysterio could be revealed to be the villain in one of the post-credits scenes.

One of the post-credits scenes will most probably tease the upcoming Black Widow movie, as it is most probably set to hit theatres after Spider-Man: Far From Home. Interestingly enough, if that is the case, it will also be the very first movie of phase 4. That alone makes it a pretty important movie. One more reason to include a glimpse of the movie in the post-credits scene. Another possibility is of a new hero or villain. Now, this is very likely to happen, solely because it has happened more than a couple of times, already. Thanos, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, and (eventually) Adam Warlock, have all been initially introduced to the MCU via post-credits scenes.

But, then again, there’s another possibility. One of the post-credits scenes may establish Mysterio as a villain. Mysterio was a villain in the comics. But from Far From Home’s clips and trailers, we don’t exactly see that happening in the movie. Not yet, at least. So there is a possibility throughout the movie, Mysterio might play the good guy, while one of the post-credits scenes reveal that he, in reality, is the villain. It could serve to be a really great plot twist, while also hinting at a bunch of future possibilities for Spider-Man. It’s a win-win situation, really.

Post-credits scenes have proved to be a crucial part of Marvel’s films, And they excite Marvel fans almost as much as the movie does. But Avengers: Endgame proved to be disappointing in that department. However, we can now confirm that Spider-Man: Far From Home won’t do the same.
